Reversible Swim Diaper & Dress |
I got this awesome colorful fabric from Hobby Lobby on Sale. They had both
the pink and blue flowers that went so good together and was a great
nylon-stretchy feeling material, like swimsuit material. So I figured I good
make some swim diapers out if it for Abigail.

Hannah also wanted a dress out of it and she wanted one to match for Abigail. So off I went. Using Mostly my Serger and only my regular machine to sew the elastic in the diaper. I made the necklines too low and the shoulder straps to far apart-they always fall down, but other than that they're really cute. The scanner just doesn't do them justice. I'll have to get a picture of Abigail in her Swim Outfit. I guess they'll be great cover ups for the beach! Hannah wouldn't take hers off for me to scan, so I'll have to post a pic later. |

Easter Dress
This is an Easter Dress I made for Hannah. I started with 12 panels cut from
the Pastel Colors below. I serged them together side to side to side. Then I
figured that wasn't enough and cut more panels. I ended up with 24 panels.
It almost makes a full circle when laid out. I did a gathering stitch a the
top of the panel to gather them, duh!

Then I cut a piece the bodice piece from a dress pattern and sewed in a Lilac Flannel Lining to make it extra soft. I used elastic at the top, just for decoration. I used the same pattern for the back and then front. I made sure to leave the part where the straps join open when I serged it together so I could serge those in too when they were finished. Then I serged the skirt of the bodice. Almost done! All I have to do now is sew the button holes and buttons on. |
Yeah, I did the button holes. I think these were the easiest of the whole dress. My mom said I cheated because my machine has an automatic button hole setting. |
You just put the button holes presser foot on, put the button in the thing to set the length and off you go. Just push down the foot pedal and it does it on it's own! |

Tote Bag

This is a Tote Bag I made from these Instructions: (http://www.creativeneedlemag.com/feature/feature1ja00.html) For me, it was a pain in the butt to follow, but I figured it out and am planning to make another one for Hannah to use for a Ballet Bag. I made this using my favorite cat fabric, Garfield. I used the White Background with Pillow Fight Designs on the outside and the Blue Background with Pillow Fight Designs on the Inside. I think they coordinate awesome together. I use this tote as a purse, kinda of. I'm always carting around my wallet, coupons, WIC folder, Stereo Face, Keys, small container of cereal for for hungry munchkins, and a water bottle. This holds it all and fits perfectly on my shoulder or Hannah can carry it for me. The Straps pull the bag closed at the top like a drawstring, put they're attached at the bottom to form back-pack type straps for your shoulders.

St. Patrick's Day Outfit
This is an awesome St. Patrick's Day outfit I made for my Abigail. I used Hunter Green Fleece and some left over Shamrock Print Fabric. I used the top of one of her jumpers and traced it on the fleece and print. Then I just winged the skirt part and made some adorable little pockets. The skirt looked too straight and not very full, looked kina like a tube, so I cut slits into it and sewed in some of the print fabric for panels kinda like a Cheerleading Skirt. I also made a diaper cover and a Headband to match. The bad thing is, that only the diaper cover fits her. The headband is too small, and the dress would never fit over Abigail's head. I figured I could probably cut a slit in the back for some buttons or ties, so that it would fit over her head, but never got around to it. Hannah just figured out a good use for the headband. "To tie your feet together for jumping. Like a Mermaid" LOL! Clever little booger huh? |

Fabric Cloth Napkin Holder

Here's a Fabric Napkin Holder I made for a lady who ordered a ton of cloth napkins. It ties at the corners with fabric ties. |
Here is a Fabric Napkin Holder that I made too small. I got to keep it for myself. It ties with ribbon, instead of Fabric Ties. |

These are some Scruchies I made from some left over material. |
Here's all the cloth napkins I made for the lady that got the Napkin Holder. She ordered 30+ napkins. |
