I got the Plastic Craft Straws at Hobby Lobby for $2.99 for a pack of a
whole bunch. Cut your stars out of foam using your star template. You'll
need two for each wand. Front and back. Put the Wooden Dowel into the
Plastic Straw. The Dowel Rods are longer than the Plastic Crafts Straws so
the dowel will stick out of the straw about 2 inches. Lay the star back down
and put the part of the dowel rod that sticks out on the star. Hot glue
around it. Now put hot glue around the outside of the star and put the front
start on it. Press and hold until dry. |
Use the Hot Glue Gun to add other embellishments to your
wand. I used some confetti left over from a wedding and some old Valentine's
Cards that had princesses on them.
Then tie Curling Ribbon around the base of the star to
dowel and straw. Then hot glue the curling ribbon on. Use lots, to secure
the plastic straw to the star also, so that the dowel doesn't come out of
it.
And there you have it...Magic Wands. |

This Hats were so simple to make. I bought a bunch of party hats from the
Dollar Store, I think I only got one pack. Then got some Tulle and Netting
from the fabric store. I used my 50% off coupon from Jo-Ann's. I also got
some star wire Garland and Curling Ribbon from the Dollar Store.

I hot
glued the wire garland around the bottom of the hat. Then I pushed the tulle
from the inside through the small hole in the top of the hat. Once it was
through I tied it around the Purple netting and a couple strands of curling
ribbon. |
